ICMR National Institute for Research on Women’s Health (ICMR-NIRWoH), Mumbai, invites applications for one post of Project Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical) under the project titled “Zero Snakebite Death Initiative: Community Empowerment and Engagement for Mitigation of Snakebite Envenoming – SARPA (Snakebite Awareness, Response, Prevention, and Action)”.
The post will be associated with the Model Rural Health Research Unit (MRHRU), Vani, District Nashik, and ICMR-NIRWoH, Mumbai. The selected candidate will work under the supervision of the Principal Investigator and may be required to travel frequently to study sites in Dindori and Surgana blocks of Nashik District for project implementation.
Eligibility
Essential Qualification:
- Post Graduate (PG) Degree, including an integrated PG degree, in Public Health, Community Health, or Community Medicine, with three years of relevant experience;
OR - Ph.D. in Public Health, Community Medicine, or Community Health.
Desirable Qualifications/Experience:
- Field-based epidemiological or public health research experience.
- Experience with community engagement in rural health programmes.
- Proficiency in statistical software such as SPSS/R/STATA and data management.
- Strong scientific writing and documentation skills.
- Ability to coordinate with health officials, community workers, and collaborators.
- Publications in peer-reviewed indexed journals.
- Prior experience in rural and tribal health research, particularly implementation research.
- Proficiency in Marathi.
Age Limit: 40 years.
