Azim Premji University (APU) has invited applications for the position of Science Resource Person to support the Undergraduate Science Educators (USE) Network.
The Science Resource Person will serve as the anchor for the USE Network, an initiative established by Azim Premji University to build and strengthen a Community of Practice for undergraduate science educators across India. The role focuses on network building, pedagogical innovation, resource development, and collaboration among science educators.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and facilitate regular monthly meetings of the USE Network faculty.
- Promote sharing of best teaching practices, challenges, and innovative approaches.
- Foster collaboration and engagement among undergraduate science educators.
- Lead the development and maintenance of the USE Network website.
- Curate teaching resources and pedagogical materials.
- Publish highlights of teaching experiences, scholarly contributions, and ongoing initiatives.
- Disseminate USE Network activities and educational resources across colleges and universities.
- Support fellows in developing and sharing innovative teaching practices.
- Collaborate with science and mathematics faculty to develop context-specific, low-cost teaching materials.
- Pilot, refine, and distribute educational resources across institutions.
Eligibility
Applicants should have:
- A Master’s degree or higher in Science, Mathematics, Science Education, or a related discipline.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Familiarity with digital platforms, website management, and resource-sharing tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty across institutions.
