The project is funded through the European Innovation Council (EIC) Transition programme and focuses on developing innovative biomaterials for bone repair using engineered human cartilage.
The research position is ideal for candidates with expertise in endochondral ossification and regenerative medicine. The selected researcher will contribute to cutting-edge research in cartilage engineering, hydrogel development, injectable biomaterials, and bone regeneration.
Applicants must be available and eligible to begin the position in Sweden from 15 September 2026.
Eligibility
Applicants should hold a PhD in Tissue Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Regenerative Medicine, Biomaterials, Cell Biology, Biomedical Sciences, or a closely related field.
Candidates should have experience in one or more of the following:
- 3D culture systems
- Human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell (BM-MSC) differentiation
- Hydrogel formulation
- Injectable biomaterial systems (syringes/cartridges)
- In vivo osteoinductive assays
