About
The National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), New Delhi, has invited Grant-in-Aid proposals to support educational institutions, universities, registered bodies, NGOs, trusts, research organizations, professional associations, government agencies, and education boards.
The scheme aims to support the effective implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) by promoting awareness of educational policies and programmes, encouraging research, dialogue, innovation, and organizing academic activities.
The grant can be utilized for:
- Organizing seminars, conferences, and workshops.
- Conducting research and impact evaluation studies.
Funding Limits
- Research Studies / Evaluation Projects: Up to ₹5 lakh
- National Seminars / Conferences / Workshops: Up to ₹3 lakh
- International Seminars / Conferences / Workshops: Up to ₹5 lakh
Eligibility
Applications are invited from:
- Educational institutions and universities (including deemed universities).
- Institutions of National Importance.
- Registered NGOs, Trusts, and voluntary organizations involved in educational research and innovation.
- Research bodies and professional associations.
- Professional associations representing women, youth, parents, students, media, trade unions, etc.
- Panchayati Raj Institutions and non-profit organizations.
- Autonomous bodies and subordinate/attached offices under the Ministry of Education (MoE).
- State and Union Territory Governments.
- CBSE and similar higher learning bodies.
Note: Privately funded organizations should be registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, the Indian Trusts Act, or the Companies Act, must be non-profit, operational for at least 3 years, and actively engaged in social welfare activities.
How to apply
- Visit the official NIEPA Grant-in-Aid portal.
- Submit the proposal online through the NIEPA website (first stage).
- Print the submitted application.
- Send the signed hard copy along with all required supporting documents to NIEPA, New Delhi.
- Ensure the proposal follows the prescribed format and documentation guidelines.
