ICMR UNNATI Phase 2 – Expression of Interest (EoI) for Participation in a Multicentre Research Project

About

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has invited Expressions of Interest (EoI) from eligible institutions to participate in UNNATI (Upgrading Norms for Growth and DevelopmeNt Assessment of Indian Children) – Phase 2, a nationwide multicentre research initiative.

The project aims to develop India-specific growth and development standards for children aged 2–18 years, replacing reliance on international reference standards with scientifically validated data tailored to the Indian population.

Selected institutions will participate in a multicentre cross-sectional study involving standardized data collection and implementation of a common research protocol. The initiative is expected to strengthen pediatric growth assessment and support evidence-based healthcare policies in India.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants include institutions with expertise and infrastructure in:

  • Pediatrics
  • Community Medicine
  • Public Health
  • Nutrition
  • Child Health Research
  • Medical Colleges
  • Research Institutes
  • Hospitals capable of conducting multicentre research as specified in the EoI document.

  3. Prepare the required institutional documents and proposal.
  4. Submit the completed EoI as per the instructions provided in the official notification.
