The Indian Immunology Society (IIS) is pleased to announce the celebration of the International Day of Immunology 2026 in India on Tuesday, 29th April 2026.
This annual global observance, led by the International Union of Immunological Societies (IUIS), aims to raise awareness about the importance of immunology in human health and disease. The theme for 2026 focuses on a critical aspect of immune regulation.
Theme of the Year (2026)
“Regulatory T Cells: Guardians of Immune Balance”
The theme highlights the pivotal role of Regulatory T cells (Tregs) in maintaining immune homeostasis, preventing autoimmunity, controlling inflammation, and shaping immune tolerance. Scientific talks, outreach activities, and awareness programs should align strictly with this theme.

IIS Support
